Summer Fun

Well, this has proved to be a very busy summer. We have been on the go every weekend! It's hard to believe Caleb turned 11 months old last week and we are working on planning his first birthday party.
Caleb is working on getting a few more teeth, and is perfecting his walking. He does a pretty good job, although he has figured out that crawling is still faster at this point.

Below is his friend and neighbor Katelyn. He let her sit in his car, but was right there to show her how it works.

He steals bites from Dad when ever he gets the chance!

One of Caleb's new things is "So Big". Here he is showing us how big he is.

This was 4th of July. Grandpa brought over some "fireworks" for Caleb. He wasn't too sure about this. We also took him to the fireworks display in Heyworth. He wasn't scared at all, but not too interested either. I think next year will be a lot different.

Caleb practicing walking. He practices walking between Mom and Dad almost every night. Once he makes it across, he turns and claps for himself!

SWIMMING LESSONS!
Swimming lessons have been a lot of fun for Dad and Caleb. They have been going every Thursday night for the last 4 weeks. As you can see he loves the water and likes to splash and play the entire time.
Waiting patiently for instructions.
Kick, Kick, Kick!
He has no fear when it comes to jumping off the side.

Dad dunks him sometimes too!

All done until next week!

Father's Day

Big kisses for Dad!!
Grandpa was letting Caleb "drive".

Pictures with the Dads.
4 generations!!

Caleb liked helping Dad open his gifts.
Lots of food and fun made for a great Father's day!

Our 1st trip to the zoo!

Caleb's friend Chloe invited us to the Brookfield zoo last week.
On our way in to see the monkeys. Most of the exhibits were indoors, where you couldn't take strollers. So, Mom had to carry Caleb. It is kind of hard to take pictures and carry a little "monkey" around!

At lunch time Caleb and Chloe had fun banging on the table.

Riding together in the wagon was a lot of fun.

A fun day, but a long day. Both kids were out before we even pulled out of the parking lot!! We'll surely be back to the zoo soon!

Goofing around with Dad.

Caleb loves his new car. He rides around the subdivision like he owns the place. He even honks his horn at the neighbors!
Our friend Brian O'Leary came through town in his BIG truck. We had to get a shot with that!

Caleb's First Haircut

These pictures got a little out of order...but I didn't want to leave them out!

Aunt Jeni gave Caleb his first haircut on May 29th.

Here is the "before" shot.
He did really well. We started out with him on my lap, but soon learned he would rather sit by himself like a big boy.

The "after" shot. One handsome little devil!! Thanks Aunt Jeni!!

Caleb's first Hey-Days!
(Hey-Days is the annual festival in Heyworth.)

Aunt Lindsey came with us. Here is Caleb petting the mascot of the Civil War reenactment group.

He was only big enough to ride the merry-go-round, so he rode it twice. Once on the horsey with mom, and once sitting with Aunt Lindsey. It was really hot that day. I think he enjoyed it, but was ready to come home.

Thanks to Caleb's Aunt Bethany we finally have some art work on his walls. It's tough to see in this picture, but his train even has his name on it. She did a great job, and his room finally looks complete!

According to his dad, Caleb is a big Cardinal's fan. Here he is sporting all of his Card's gear.

Just takin' care of business!!
One of his favorite things to do is pound on the keyboard. He could sit there for hours!
