Such a fun boy...

These are just a few shots from the last week. Caleb likes sitting in the laundry basket right when it comes out of the dryer, when it's nice and warm. It will be nice when he wants to start helping me fold it too!

He is in his 6 month clothes now, so we have been trying on outfits to see what fits, and what is still a little big. Here he was sporting his new Nike's. Such a big boy!

Caleb truly loves bath time. In the video you will see how he likes to drink some of the water after we are done rinsing his hair. He would do this for as long as we would let him. I think he's going to be our water baby. I hope this love of bath time translates into a good swimmer some day!

This and That

These are just a few pics of what we've been up to over the last couple of weeks.....

We have started to give Caleb some rice cereal in the evening. The video at the end of the post shows our first successful attempt.
He has also started to suck his thumb. Really, he will suck on anything, he has just now figured out that his thumb is always convenient!
Last week we went to the Heyworth football playoff game. He was a little scared of the announcer over the loud speaker at first, but overall enjoyed watching all the people. It was a tough loss for Heyworth (27-28), they fumbled at their goal line with less than a min. to go.

We celebrated Great Grandma and Grandpa's 82nd and 83rd birthdays last weekend. In the picture above Grandpa was giving Caleb a little vanilla ice cream. He loved it...he may get that from his mom! Great Grandpa Markle REALLY enjoys spending time with Caleb. They walk all over and check everything out. From the windows to the magnets on the fridge, they've got it covered!

Caleb tried some rice cereal for the first time last week, and spit it back out at me. After talking it over with Grandma, we decided to crunch up a little bit of graham cracker to sweeten it up a bit. This video is our second attempt, he liked it better, but needs some practice!

Happy Halloween!

Caleb's first Halloween was a lot of fun. We visited Grandma Zellers the weekend before, and did our "trick or treating" in Peoria Saturday. He did not like being in his costume, but humored us long enough to take some pictures. We really enjoyed our little monkey!
Caleb was happy to see Mitz had to wear a costume too!

I can't believe he could be walking into Grandma's house next year at this time!! We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as much as we did!

We have been getting ready for Halloween. Caleb has tried his costume on a couple of times, and has decided he is not very fond of it. We'll see how it goes this weekend. He has grown so much and is smiling all the time. He has discovered his hands and fingers, and LOVES to eat them! Sometimes we think he's choking himself because his whole fist is in his mouth!

Caleb got a pumpkin that is as big as he is. He was there for the carving, but didn't help out very much....maybe next year!

Stay tuned for pictures of the little goblin in his costume!

He loves to play in the tub. He only cries when he has to get out!

Caleb and Dad, watching racing....Caleb likes the speed channel.

Caleb got to meet his new friend and future riding buddy, Carson Barnett, this weekend. Here are the boys and their Dads. They were both ready for bed in their monkey pj's.

Carson was not sure about holding Caleb for the picture. Needless to say this was a quick photoshoot!

Caleb really likes bath time. Even if he's fussy he seems to calm down for bath time.

Some shots from the last few weeks...

Caleb met his new friend Reid Thompson last week. Reid and his mom, Meagan, were visiting from Des Moines. Caleb is exactly 2 weeks older than Reid. It was tough to get pictures where they were both awake. I think it will be a different story in a few years....these two could be trouble!

Caleb also attended his first Heyworth Homecoming parade last week. Hornet pride is rampant here in Heyworth, I think he will have no choice but to be a football junkie!!

All bundled up for the parade!!

We're catching more and more smiles these days. He is usually very happy in the morning, and those smiles just make our day!

Baptism

Thanks to Caleb's Godparents Mike and Kris for makeing the trip from Valpo with 3 little ones of their own!

Caleb was baptized the first weekend in October. We had all of our imideate family here in Bloomington to help us celebrate his special day! He was not a big fan of the sweater vest at frist, but it grew on him, and he looked like quite a little man in his Sunday best!
